Hello internet friends!
Welcome to my little piece of the internet. The name of my blog reflects what I think describes me and my interests as a grad student, a baker, and a runner.
I am married to my best friend and basically a pretty awesome guy. We have two pretty cool little pups too.
I am a PhD student studying 19th century religion and gender in the U.S. with an emphasis on the history of children and childhood. I recently qualified to become a PhD candidate and am in the process of researching for my dissertation.
I am also a runner (check out my race results/schedule). I am a 2013 San Francisco Marathon Ambassador. Learn about this amazing race here. And I am a member of Santa Cruz Endurance. One of the goals of this blog is to share my running stories, which I hope help readers become motivated to get outside and run!

You should come to my running club’s Whale to Whale on Sunday, it’s a 6 mile run from the Whale at the Long Marine Lab to the Whale at the Natural History Museum. It’s $10 and the proceeds go to the Baker/Butler Scholarship fund. Here’s the fb event: https://www.facebook.com/events/527829510603016/
